Ingredients
Toor dal -1 tbsp
Masoor dal-1 tbsp
Moong dal -1 tbsp
Bengal gram dal -1 tbsp
Black urad dal -1 tbsp
Onion-1 no
Tomato-1 no
Ginger-1 inch piece
Garlic-4-6 nos
Cumin seeds-1 tsp
Pepper -1/2 tsp
Cloves-3 nos
Cinnamon-1 no
Salt -1 tsp
Turmeric powder-1/2 tsp
Coriander leaves-few
Ghee -1 tsp
Mixed Dal Soup Recipe Video
Method
👉Wash and soak the dals together for 1/2 hour.
👉Heat ghee in a pressure cooker add cloves, cinnamon, cumin seeds, pepper, onion, ginger, garlic and tomato and saute well for 2 minutes.
👉Add in the soaked dals ,coriander leaves and add required salt and 1 & 1/2 cups of water.
👉Pressure cook for 6 whistles , switch off the gas and allow pressure to subside completely.
👉Now grind the mixture with hand blender or in a mixer until smooth.Note:You can strain the mixture if required I have used it as such.
👉Add water , turmeric powder and adjust consistency.
Simmer for 5 minutes.Check for salt.
👉Switch off the gas.Garnish and serve hot.
