Ingredients 


Dried white peas -1 cup
Raw mango-1/2 cup
Grated carrot-1/2 cup
Mustard seeds-1/4 tsp 
Urad dal-1 tsp 
Cumin seeds -1/2 tsp 
Red chillies -2-3 nos
Green chillies -2 nos
Ginger-2 inch piece
Curry leaves few
Coriander leaves-few
Grated coconut -1-2 tbsps
Salt to taste
Asafoetida -1/4 tsp
Lemon juice-1/2-1 tsp 
Oil -1 tsp

Method

👉Wash and soak the dried white peas or pattani overnight.


👉Next day drain the water and add 1 1/2 cups of fresh water and 1/2 tsp salt and pressure cook for 3-4 whistles and switch off the gas and allow the pressure to release naturally.


👉Drain the water set the cooked peas aside .

👉Heat oil in a kadai add mustard seeds, urad dal, cumin seeds, curry leaves, red chilli, ginger, green chillies and sauté well.Add raw mango and sauté for few minutes .




👉Add grated carrot and sauté well.


👉Add asafoetida mix well.


👉Add in the cooked white peas and add required salt mix well 



👉Continue to sauté for another 2-4 minutes until all the moisture is absorbed.


👉Add freshly chopped coriander leaves, grated coconut and mix well.





👉Switch off the gas and finally add lemon juice mix well.
