Paneer Kalakand

This yummy paneer kalakand recipe is super easy to make and can be done within 15 mins. Unlike traditional kalakand which is made by curdling the milk then separating the paneer or chena from it (which is a bit tedious process) this paneer kalakand is made with just three main ingredients like readymade cottage cheese (paneer), condensed milk and milk powder. It is one of the most easiest sweet to prepare for Diwali. Check out how to make this delicious paneer kalakand recipe below.


Ingredients

Grated paneer (cottage cheese)-200 gms

Condensed milk-3/4 cup

Milk powder-1 Tbsp

Cardamom powder-1/4 tsp

Ghee-1 tsp

Pista badam-few finely chopped for garnish

Method

👉In a mixing bowl add the grated paneer, condensed milk,milk powder, cardamom powder and mix well.






👉Now heat ghee in a kadai and pour the mixture into it.



👉Keep stirring constantly in medium flame.


👉At first the mixture will loosen up and later it will thicken and form a mass leaving the sides of the kadai switch off the gas.






👉Keep a greased tray or plate ready.

👉Transfer the kalakand to it and spread it evenly using a flat ladle.




👉Garnish with pista and badam on top slightly press them with ladle. 



👉Allow the kalakand to come to room temperature.Make markings to cut to desired shape.You can either leave it as such for half-hour until it's completely set or you can keep it in fridge for 10-15 mins.



👉Once set cut the kalakand to square pieces.



👉Serve.
