Ingredients 


Rava (sooji)-1/2 cup
Boiled milk - 1/2 litre
Water-1 cup
Sugar -1/2-3/4  cup
Cashews and raisins few
Cardamom powder-1/4 tsp
Saffron strands few
Ghee-1 Tbsp

Method


👉Heat a tsp of ghee in a kadai roast the cashews and raisins until golden brown set aside.





👉In the same kadai add another tsp of ghee and roast the rava until light golden colour make sure not to burn the rava.



👉Now add milk and 1 cup water and mix everything well.Keep stirring continuously to prevent lumps.





👉Boil until the rava is cooked completely.



👉Now add sugar and mix well until the sugar dissolves completely.  Add cardamom powder.






👉Add extra milk if the payasam has thickened and adjust consistency.
👉Finally add the fried cashews, raisins and few saffron strings remove from fire. 





👉Serve immediately.


Note-

✍️The payasam tends to thicken quickly so adjust the consistency by adding extra milk.
✍️You will get large quantity of payasam so add rava accordingly.
