Masala idli is an yummy easy to make dish with leftover idlis.In this recipe the idlis are sauteed with regular masala powders and served.It is a very simple recipe and can be prepared very quickly and tastes absolutely delicious.check out the recipe below.


Ingredients

Leftover idlis -8-10 nos cut to cubes
Onion-1 no chopped fine
Tomato-1 no chopped fine
Ginger garlic paste-1 tsp
Green chillies -2 nos chopped
Red chilli powder -1/2 tsp
Turmeric powder -1/4 tsp
Dhaniya powder -1/2 tsp
Garam masala powder -1/4 tsp
Jeera powder -1/4 tsp
Salt a pinch
Cumin seeds -1/2 tsp
Curry leaves and coriander leaves few
Oil -1 tbsp

Method

1.Cut the leftover idlis into cubes.

2.Heat oil in a kadai add jeera ,curry leaves,green chillies and allow it to splutter.

3.Add onions sauté until translucent.

4.Add ginger garlic paste and sauté for few seconds.

5.Next add tomato and cook until mushy.

6.Add all powders and a pinch of salt mix well .


7.Now add the chopped idlis and combine everything gently and cook for 2-4 mins.

8.Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot.


Preparation Time -15 mins
Serves -3-4

Note -
✍️You can deep fry the idlis for few seconds until light golden brown and use .
✍️You can add veggies like carrot,capsicum,peas etc to this recipe too.
✍️You can add soy sauce along with the masala if you like .
✍️You can add 1 tsp lemon juice too.
