Pidi kozhukattai is made with the rice flour and jaggery syrup which is made into a dough and then formed to a shape by pressing between your fingers.It is very simple and easy to make kolukattai variety.There are different varieties of pidi kozhukattai.Here I have shown the sweet variety made using jaggery.


Homemade Processed Rice flour/ idiyappam flour/ kozhukattai flour-1 cup
Jaggery syrup-1/2 cup
Salt a pinch
Cardamom powder-a pinch
Coconut pieces finely chopped-1 tbsp(optional)

👉Boil water in a vessel.
👉In a mixing bowl add rice flour,salt ,gingelly oil ,jaggery syrup (I have used white jaggery so this colour), cardamom powder and mix everything well to a soft dough.

👉Now grease your palm with oil and take a small lemon sized ball of the dough and slightly press it in between your fingers to form impression on the dough.

👉Steam the kozhukattais in idli cooker for 7-10 mins.

Preparation Time-30 minutes 
Yield-10 nos
