Thengai Puranam Kozhukattai | Coconut Pooranam Kolukattai

Ingredients
Homemade Processed Rice flour/ idiyappam flour/ kozhukattai flour-1 cup or 250 gms
Grated coconut-1 cup
Jaggery syrup-1/2 cup
Cardamom powder-a pinch
Salt -a pinch
Gingelly oil-1 tsp
Ghee- 1 tsp
Ghee- 1 tsp

👉Dissolve jaggery in water and boil it for a minute and strain it to remove impurities set aside.
For PURANAM-
👉Heat ghee in a pan add grated coconut , Jaggery syrup and cardamom powder and mix well until the mixture thickens.set aside.
For Kozhukattai Dough-
👉Boil water in a vessel.
👉In a mixing bowl add rice flour,a pinch of salt, gingelly oil, hot water little by little and make to soft dough.cover it with a clean moist muslin cloth.set aside.
For making Kozhukattai-
👉Take a small lemon sized balls of the dough and slightly spread it in your greased palm .
👉Now take small gooseberry sized puranam and place it in the centre cover with dough .
👉Keep it in kozhukattai mould gently press it to get shape.
👉Steam the kozhukattai in idli cooker for 7-10 mins.
👉Once cooked the kozhukattai will be glossy and nonsticky .
