Cauliflower Peas Coconut Milk Masala


This cauliflower peas coconut milk masala is a tasty, nutritious, and simple South Indian side dish. Cauliflower and peas are cooked in coconut milk for this dish. This dish's flavour profile is elevated by using coconut milk. This gravy was fully made in a pressure cooker. You should cook it in a kadai if you don't feel like using a pressure cooker. Be certain the cauliflower would not overcook. This cauliflower gravy is a quick-to-make recipe. It pairs well with chapati, poori, dosa, appam, idiyappam, peas pulov, and plain rice, among other dishes. Depending on your preferences, adjust the gravy's quality. You may produce a dry curry, a semi-gravy curry, or a grated curry with this.

Ingredients

Cauliflower -1 no 

Peas-1/2 cup

Onion-2 nos 

Garlic-4 cloves

Turmeric powder-1/4 tsp

Red chilli powder-3/4 -1 tsp 

Coriander powder-2 tsps 

Garam masala-1/4 tsp

Coconut milk-1 cup 

Salt to taste

Cumin seeds-1 tsp 

Curry leaves and coriander leaves few

Oil-1 Tbsp

Method

👉Cut the cauliflower into medium sized florets check, clean and wash well.

👉Heat oil in a pressure cooker add cumin seeds,curry leaves and allow it to splutter. Add onion,garlic and saute for 2 mins.


👉Add cleaned cauliflower florets  and peas.


👉Add turmeric powder,red chilli powder, coriander powder and salt.

👉Add the coconut milk and 1/4 cup water and mix everything well.


👉Pressure cook for just 1 whistle, switch off the gas and allow the pressure to subside.


👉Open the cooker and again switch on the gas.


👉Allow the gravy to boil to desired consistency.Note - You can make this as gravy by adding extra water or serve it as dry curry or semi gravy.


👉 Finally add garam masala mix well.

👉Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with chapati, poori,dosa, peas pulov,plain rice,sambar,rasam or curd rice.
