Pudina Aloo

Pudina aloo is a flavourful North Indian side dish which is prepared by combining cooked baby potatoes with simple pudina masala and regular spices. It is very easy to make and tastes superb. This can be served as a side dish or as a starter too. Learn how to make this pudina aloo recipe below.

Ingredients

Baby potatoes -1/4 kg
Cumin seeds -1 tsp
Red chilly powder -1/2  tsp
Turmeric powder -1/2 tsp
Cumin powder -1 tsp
Garam masala powder -1 tsp
Salt to taste
Oil -2 tbsps

Grind Together

Mint leaves -1 small bunch
Green chillies -4 nos
Ginger -1-inch piece

Method

👉Grind the ingredients for masala set aside.

👉Pressure cook the baby potatoes for 3 whistles, drain water, remove skin and prick with the fork set aside.

👉Heat oil in a kadai add cumin seeds, red chilly powder, turmeric powder, cumin powder, and garam masala powder and sauté for 2 mins.
👉Add the cooked baby potatoes and mix well and sauté for a few minutes.

👉Add the masala paste and mix well with the potatoes and roast in medium flame for 5 mins.


👉Serve hot.

Preparation Time -20 mins
Serves -4

Note

✍️If you like you can add lemon juice too.
