Kara Pidi Kozhukattai
Kara pidi kozhukattai is a yummy traditional South Indian kozhukattai or modhak variety made with rice flour,dals and green chillies.It is a savoury variety of kozhukattai.It is very easy to make and can be made very quickly.Check out how to make kara pidi kozhukattai recipe below.
Ingredients
Homemade Processed Rice flour/idiyappam flour/ kozhukattai flour-1 cup or 250gms
Mustard seeds-1/2 tsp
Urud dhal-1 tsp
Bengal gram dhal-1 tsp
Green chillies-1 finely chopped
coconut pieces chopped finely-2 tbsps
Salt to taste
Gingelly oil-1 tsp
Curry leaves few
Method

👉Heat oil in a kadai add mustard seeds ,urud dhal ,bengal gram dhal ,cumin seeds, curry leaves and saute well then add the coconut pieces .
👉Next add 1 1/2 cup water and bring it to a boil.
👉Now add the rice flour,salt and mix well and make to a smooth dough.
👉Allow it to cool slightly.
👉Now grease your palms with oil and take a small lemon sized balls of the dough and slightly press it between your fingers so that you get the impression of you fingers on the dough.
👉Next add 1 1/2 cup water and bring it to a boil.
👉Now add the rice flour,salt and mix well and make to a smooth dough.
👉Allow it to cool slightly.

👉Steam the kozhukattai in idli cooker for 7-10mins .
