Mysore pak is an absolutely delicious traditional Indian sweet made with bengal gram flour, generous amount of ghee and sugar.check out how to make traditional Mysore pak recipe below .

Ingredients

Sugar -2 cups
Ghee-1 cup
Water-1/2 cup
Cooking soda a pinch
Oil-2 tbsp

Method

👉Dry roast besan flour for a minute and set aside.
👉In a heavy bottom kedai/vessel add sugar and dissolve it in 1/2 cup of water, once it starts boiling strain it to remove impurities and again put it on fire, keep stirring until you get one string consistency.
👉Now add the besan flour slowly into the sugar syrup and keep stirring continuously so that no lumps are formed.

👉When the mixture starts bubbling add ghee+oil to it in batches after 3-minute intervals keep stirring.
👉Once the mixture becomes frothy and ghee starts to come on the top add the cooking soda, remove from fire and pour in a greased plate.

👉While it's still hot use a greased knife and cut into desired shapes. allow it to cool.

👉Store it in an airtight container.

Note

✍️The more ghee you add the more softer the Mysore Pak will be.
✍️I have added only one cup of ghee as you can see the Mysore Pak is bit dry , you can add 2 cups of ghee.
