Ingredients

Sweet potato/Sakkaraivalli kilangu-1/4 kg
Peas-1/2 cup
Curd -2 Tbsps
Ginger garlic paste-1 tsp
Red chilli powder-1/2-1 tsp
Coriander powder -2 tsps
Turmeric powder-1/4 tsp
Kashmiri red chilli powder-1/2 tsp(optional) for colour
Cumin seeds-1 Tsp
Salt to taste
Ghee -1 Tbsp
Coriander leaves few chopped

Grind Together-

Onions -3 nos chopped
Tomato -2 nos chopped
Green chillies -2 nos

Method

1.Wash ,peel and cut the sweet potatoes to cubes,keep them soaked in water until use.

2.Grind the ingredients given under Grind Together to a fine paste without adding water,set aside.

3.Heat ghee in a pressure cooker add cumin seeds allow it to crackle.

4.Next add turmeric powder,red chilli powder, coriander powder,and Kashmiri chilli powder saute for few seconds.

5.Add ginger garlic paste saute for few seconds.

6.Add the ground masala,mix well.

7.Next add peas and sweet potatoes after draining the water.

8.Add curd mix well.

9.Now add 3/4 cup water , required salt and close the pressure cooker and cook for just 2 whistles.
Remove from fire and allow the pressure to release.


10.Again keep on gas and allow the gravy to thicken to desired consistency.

11.Garnish with coriander leaves serve hot .
