Ingredients
For Masala -(Grind Together)
Pepper -1 tspJeera -1 tsp
Fennel seeds-1/2 tsp
Coriander seeds-1 tsp
Red chillies -2 nos
Garlic-4 nos
Ginger-1 tsp
Other Ingredients-
Tulsi leaves(Basil leaves)-1 cupTamarind extract -1/4 cup
Tomatoes -1 no
Turmeric powder -1/4 tsp
Mustard seeds-1/2 tsp
Red chillies-2 nos
Asafoetida
Salt
Jaggery-1 tsp
Ghee -1/2 tsp
Curry leaves
Coriander leaves

Method
👉Grind the ingredients given for masala coarsely without adding water.👉 Heat ghee in a kadai add mustard seeds, red chillies, curry leaves and asafoetida and allow it to crackle.
👉Add tomatoes saute for a minute.
👉Next pour the tamarind extract, turmeric powder
👉Add required water and salt .
👉Allow the rasam to come to a boil.
👉Now add ground masala mix well and allow it to boil for few minutes.
👉Add jaggery .
👉Finally add the Tulsi leaves and coriander leaves , immediately switch off the stove.
👉Serve hot.
