Baby Corn Fry is a tasty, crispy, and easy-to-make starter that’s perfect for any occasion. This dish requires minimal ingredients and can be prepared in no time, making it a great option when you’re craving something quick and flavorful. The baby corn is coated with a simple yet delicious batter and then deep-fried until golden and crispy on the outside while retaining its tender crunch on the inside.

With a mild seasoning of spices like red chili powder, garam masala, and coriander powder, this dish is packed with flavor. It’s an excellent vegetarian alternative to other fried snacks and can be enjoyed on its own as a snack or served alongside a meal with rice, noodles, or chapati. The crispy texture and mild spiciness of Baby Corn Fry make it a popular appetizer or party snack.

Ingredients

Baby corn -10-15 nos chopped to finger length pieces
Corn flour -1/2-3/4 cup
Red chilli powder -1 tsp
Garam masala powder -1/2 tsp
Lemon juice -1 -2 tsp
Oil for deep frying

Method

👉Wash and cut the baby corn to finger length pieces.

👉Boil them for 2 mins, drain the water and transfer the baby corn to a mixing bowl, allow it to cool down a bit.



👉Now add red chilli powder,garam masala powder, lemon juice, salt and corn flour(little by little) to the baby corn and mix well. Make sure that all the ingredients stick to each other, donot add too much water. (Note: I have not added water just lemon juice).If required just sprinkle little water. Set aside for 10 mins.



👉Meanwhile, heat oil for deep frying.
Deep-fry the baby corn in batches in low flame until golden brown colour is reached.


👉Remove from oil and drain the excess oil in tissue paper.

👉Garnish and serve hot.

Serves -3-4
