Beetroot Milagu Masala Poriyal
Beetroot milagu masala poriyal is a delicious, healthy and traditional south Indian poriyal variety made by cooking beetroot along with pepper and coconut masala paste. It is a very simple recipe and can be made quickly. Check out the recipe below.
Ingredients
Beetroot-1/4 kg chopped
Onion-1 no chopped
Garlic -4 cloves chopped
Mustard seeds-1/4 tsp
Cumin seeds-1 tsp
Red chilly -1 no
Salt to taste
Oil-2 tsps
Masala Paste(Grind to fine paste )
Grated coconut-1/4 cup
Pepper -1 tsp
Cumin seeds ( jeera) -1 tsp
Green chillies -1-2 nos
Method
👉Heat oil in a kadai add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, curry leaves allow it to crackle. Next add onions, garlic and saute well.
👉Add chopped beetroot and saute well for 2 mins then sprinkle water and close the kadai and cook for 5 mins until the beetroot is 3/4 th done.
👉Now add ground masala paste, salt and mix well, keep the gas in medium flame and saute the beetroot for 2-4 mins.
👉Garnish and serve hot.
