Sprouted multi grains sundal or mulaikattiya navathaniya sundal

This sprouted multi grain sundal or mulaikattiya navadhanya sundal is a delicious power packed traditional South Indian sundal variety which is made with nine sprouted grains as neivadanam during Navratri festival. You can add any nine grains of your choice here I have added white channa, black channa, horse gram, lobia, rajma,whole green gram dal, dried peas and field beans.These 9 grains are allowed to sprout and used in this sundal. If you don't have time to sprout the grains you can buy ready made sprouted grains which is readily available in supermarkets. Ingredients

Sprouted multi grains(Navadhanya)-2 cups
Ginger-1 inch piece chopped
Green chillies-2 chopped fine
Mustard seeds-1 tsp
Urad dhal-1 tsp
Cumin seeds-1 tsp
Salt to taste
Oil-1 tsp
Curry leaves few
Asafoetida-1/4 tsp
Grated coconut-2 tbps

Method

👉Wash and pressure cook the sprouts for 3 whistles by adding just enough water to cover the grains. Drain the excess water set the cooked grains aside.
👉Heat oil in kadai add mustard seeds,urad dhal, cumin seeds, green chillies, ginger, asafoetida,curry leaves allow it to splutter.
👉Next add the cooked navadhanya(grains), salt mix well.
👉Finally, add grated coconut.
👉Serve.
