Dahi Bhindi



Dahi bhindi is a lip-smacking north Indian side dish made with simple ingredients like ladies finger , curd and special masala paste and can be prepared in no time. Even those who don't like ladies finger will fall in love with it. Check out the recipe below.

Ingredients 

Ladies Finger/Bhindi-1/2 kg chopped.
Onions-2 nos chopped
Ginger-1 inch piece
Curd-1 cup slightly whipped
Gram flour (besan)-2 tbsps
Garam masala-1/2 tsp
Red chilly powder-1 tsp
Dhaniya powder-2 tsps
Cumin seeds-1/2 tsp
Salt to taste
Oil-2 tsps
Coriander leaves few

Method 

👉Grind the ginger, onions, red chilly powder, dhaniya powder, garam masala to a fine paste set aside.
👉Now in a bowl add the slightly whipped curd, besan flour, ground paste mix well set aside.




👉 Heat oil in a kadai and shallow fry the ladies finger until half cooked now add the cumin seeds to it fry for few seconds.



👉Next, add the curd mixture to the bhindi, mix everything well. Add salt and cook till raw smell goes and the gravy thickens.



👉Serve hot with roti, naan, idli, dosa, jeera rice etc.

Note

✍️First, wash the ladies finger then using a kitchen towel wipe it clean and cut it by doing this the sliminess is removed.
